This Buddha statue having endured the passage of time, exhibits impeccable attention to detail, executed with precision and elegance. The carving and detailing are exquisite, making it a rare and exceptional piece for veneration. The statue is crafted from fine bronze material, with a substantial layer of gilding, displaying exquisite workmanship. Even after a century, it retains its original splendor. Passed down through the generations from the Mindrolling Monastery, the facial features were recently re-gilded at the end of the last century.

This Buddha statue is a medium-sized representation of Sadaksari Avalokitesvara, also known as Guanyin. Guanyin, with four arms, wears a high topknot, adorned with an intricately crafted five-leafed crown, exuding a profound sense of solemnity. The finely detailed facial features radiate tranquility and gentle composure. The eyebrows and eyes are gracefully shaped, with slightly closed eyes gazing naturally downward, bestowing an insightful and compassionate gaze upon all sentient beings, offering liberation to those who meet the gaze.

The face of Guanyin has been re-gilded in recent times, restoring its resplendence. Guanyin is adorned with an array of jewelry, including large earrings, necklaces, chest ornaments, bracelets, and anklets, presenting an opulent and magnificent appearance. In the center, two hands are joined in front of the chest, symbolizing the union of wisdom and skillful means. On the back, two arms bend upward, holding a lotus flower and prayer beads.

Guanyin is draped in celestial garments, with a skirt that closely hugs the body. The fabric drapes gracefully from the shoulders, winds around the arms, and then cascades symmetrically down to the front of the lotus pedestal. The unique and beautiful form features flowing, natural lines, and the graceful distribution of lines and shapes gives a lifelike, three-dimensional quality, capturing the softness and drape of the fabric.

The clothing patterns on the legs radiate outwards on the top surface of the lotus base, extending and spreading like waves on both sides.
