On rare occasions, we come across old objects that make us stop and look a little longer. This selection brings together seven of them.
At the heart of each piece in this selection is an original old Thokcha.
Some can be traced to the Song Dynasty (960–1279). The small sacred object at the center has survived for roughly 750 to 1,000 years — making its way through centuries before reaching the present.
Others come from the Ming and Qing dynasties. A few are older pieces whose exact age has been lost along the way.
So much has disappeared over the centuries. These small objects remained. And no two have survived in exactly the same way.
Every patina, softened edge and trace of wear belongs to that one original object. These are not details that can be reproduced — they are what time has left behind.
We keep the old Thokcha itself intact. Rather than restoring or recreating it, we handcraft a new 925 sterling silver and gold-plated setting around the original, preserving its aged surface while giving it a new form in which it can be worn and carried forward.
The Thokcha — and the centuries it carries — remains original.
THE SEVEN PIECES
TREASURE VASE · MANI JEWEL
At the heart of this piece is an old Thokcha depicting the Treasure Vase and Mani Jewel — sacred symbols associated with abundance, enduring blessings, and awakened wisdom.
Its naturally aged surface remains visible within a newly handcrafted flame and lotus setting, preserving the character of the original object while allowing it to be worn again.

SONG DYNASTY · VAJRA
960–1279
At the center is an original Song Dynasty Vajra Thokcha, surviving from as many as a thousand years ago.
The Vajra represents indestructible strength and awakened wisdom. Here, that meaning is carried by an object that has itself endured centuries — its worn ridges and deep patina left intact within the new setting.

This old Thokcha preserves the figure of a Vajra Guardian, a powerful image associated with courage, protection, and the overcoming of harmful forces.
Time has softened its contours and darkened its surface, giving this small sacred object a character that no newly made casting could reproduce.

QING DYNASTY · SUN & MOON MANI JEWEL
1644–1912
An original Qing Dynasty Thokcha forms the center of this piece, bringing together the Sun, Moon, and Mani Jewel.
The celestial pair evokes balance and harmony, while the Mani Jewel carries associations with awakened wisdom and fulfilled aspirations. Its aged surface remains untouched, preserving the individual character left by time.

This original Ming Dynasty Thokcha depicts the Buddha Hand holding a Vajra — bringing together compassionate action and indestructible spiritual strength.
Centuries of wear remain visible across the original object. We preserved those traces rather than restoring them away, setting the Thokcha within a newly handcrafted frame.
