At its center, it displays the serene countenance of Shakyamuni Buddha, depicted with a finely detailed reverse-hammered coiffure; his shoulders relaxed, right hand palm inward in a vertical gesture toward the earth in the earth-touching mudra, left hand cradling an alms bowl before his abdomen. Seated in full lotus posture, his demeanor is dignified and lifelike. This colossal Garuda epitomizes the pinnacle of Qing Dynasty hammered Garuda artistry, deserving of museum-grade distinction. Its overall condition remains flawless, originating from the Jiru Lhakang Monastery in Shannan, a truly exceptional piece."
