About the Design

Three beads. One cord. The restraint makes each stone more visible than it would be surrounded by others.
The two outer beads are south red agate ovals — deep vermillion red, their surface polished to a high gloss that reflects light cleanly and holds color at full saturation. Between them, a single banded agate barrel sits at the center of the cord: black and white horizontal stripes running the full length of the bead, the pattern precise and geological, formed over long periods of mineral layering. The cord is dark burgundy twisted braid, worn at collarbone length, the two strands visible at the back where the sliding knot adjusts the fit.
The red is the warmest color. The black and white center is the most detailed surface.
Worn at the collarbone. The three beads resting still at the front through the full day.
